In order to attain balance, there are many other areas that need to be treated with respect and paid attention to. I’m going to give you the different areas of life you need to pay attention to. Then in “This Week’s Action Step,” you’ll be deciding on specific goals in EACH area and visualizing yourself living your dreams.
Seven Areas of Life:
1. Financial – this is the area that includes your total income, money you want to invest, money you want to save and debts you want to pay off.
2. Business/Career – this area deals with businesses you want to create, careers you want to have and people you want to work with.
3. Personal – this category is strictly based on you - skills you want to master, material things you want to buy, vacations you want to take and places you want to see.
4. Health and Fitness – here you will consider physical fitness, spiritual fitness and mental fitness. Consider subjects such as exercise, nutritional habits, spiritual development, learning new ways of thinking and overall awareness.
5. Fun – yes, fun! We all need to have fun in our lives. I want you to think of things that bring you joy – I don’t care if it’s playing golf, painting ceramics, fishing, dancing or riding roller coasters. Whatever makes you laugh and smile, make time to do it.
6. Relationships – this is the area where you concentrate on the people in your life, whether they are members of your family, clients, a mentor, co-workers or employees.
7. Contribution – these are the entities you want to give back to society. You can contribute your money, your time or your talents.
Now that you understand what each of the seven areas of life are, it’s time to decide what you want in each area and to begin visualizing achieving your goals.
