Today, we'll look at The Smart Tools For Your Peak Effectiveness. While, it may not be time for you to get all of these tools, the knowing what is available and what your competition is using, gives you the edge. Putting these into a future plan and budget will

Smart Moves For Your Effectiveness

1. Tablet Computer - A tablet has an extreme WOW factor! Many people do not realize that it is as powerful as a notebook computer and MORE! Sites to visit and watch the videos and tutorials include
www.vreo.comand www.motioncomputing.com. These two sites will provide an overview of different tablets. You'll need to decide which features are most important to you to help you choose. Is size and weight important? Is it important to have a built-in DVD-CD drive? Is having an attached keyboard important? I have a docking station that let's me use my little (9" x 8") tablet with a 17" monitor and full keyboard and I have done away with my desktop. And lastly, using the Dashboard software, takes you towards the truly paperless office!

2. Voice Broadcast & 24 Hr. Call Capture - Anything that saves you time, makes you money! it gives you the time to take dollar productive actions. My favorite tool for gaining time with a huge result in results is Voice Broadcast. By recording a short, friendly message once a month and sending it to your sphere of influence, you will be taking an action that 99% of other agents aren't: staying in touch often enough to generate top of the mind branding! Your clients will refer more to you because they have heard from you. And, you don't have to sit there and dial and leave messages. My favorite provider is Automatic Response Technology (ART). They have a great tutorial on the website that gives lots of good ideas. I interviewed Jeff Troyer in January how this can build production. You can listen to that here. Use the sign up code 8000 to save money on the set up.For less than $100 a month and about 5 minutes of your time, you'll find you can connect with 100-200 people who know someone who needs a good agent!

3. Very Smart Phones
- If you haven't bought a phone that allows you to carry your calendar and database, take pictures, send email, surf the web all in one, what are you waiting for? Here in Tucson and in many other places, a TREO or similar Smart phone can be used as your lockbox key as well. New models seem to appear daily, but you really don't need the latest and greatest...a TREO 600 or 650 is cheap to get and will give you all the basics. You can usually save some money and get the current scoop on all models at TreoCentral or by going here. Being in real estate is being mobile!

4. Bluetooth - A short range wireless connection between two pieces of hardware. You've seen the wireless headsets that now seem attached to many people's ear (and this is important also to reduce the negative impact from holding your phone next to your head). There are dozens of ways you can use Bluetooth: In your car with your phone, between your wireless computer and your printer, between your Smartphone and your computer. Learn about how it can make your life easier!

In keeping with my intent to provide quick tips on Tuesdays, I will wrap this up here. Keep an eye out week after next week for Part 3. We'll discuss Web 2.0 (Don't know what that is?) Then you better read it for sure!!!!
