Women are half of the talent pool and more than half of the decision makers for consumer purchases.

It is important to understand why companies that empower and enable women to thrive will be rewarded for their efforts.

These are some of the statistics from Catalyst Research and Lusk-Moore and Associates (LMA)

Nine Reasons Business Should Be Attuned To Women

  1. Women make up 50% of the U.S. workforce.
  2. Women are leaving corporations at twice the rate of men, many to start their own businesses.
  3. Women buy over 80% of consumer purchases, including over 50% of electronics, computers and investments.
  4. 40% of business travelers are women.
  5. Women own 66% of home based businesses.
  6. Women have been the majority voters since 1964.
  7. Women make up over 50% of US undergraduates, earn more than 50% of the bachelor's and master's degrees and over 40% of doctoral degrees.
  8. Women head 40% of U.S. households with incomes over $600,000
  9. Women still account for less than 13% of top management in corporate America

Here's the problem.  Corporations must recruit and retain top talent to compete in a highly competitive global environment.  If women are leaving at twice the rate of men something must be done to retain them.

According to Alice Lusk of Lusk-Moore and Associates:

"In 15 years there will be 15% fewer Americans in the 35- to 45- year- old range.  If the economy grows 3% to 4% per year the demand for talent will increase by 25% and the supply will grow by 15%."

Our solution is training, mentoring and development of women leaders.
