Those are all functions of speaking and selling - the two go hand in hand...and amazingly enough almost anyone can do it reasonably well with just a little help.
There are two parts to speaking and selling: Preparation and Delivery.
Preparation:
· If you could only tell someone three things about your topic, what would they be?
· Find a story that illustrates each point.
Delivery:
· Forget about YOU and focus on the other person or the issue.
· Consider what will be of most interest to the listener and start there.
· Listen carefully and thoughtfully to all responses and stay open to considering all options.
· Make notes of the points you want to make - and refer to your notes if you need to.
· Smile.
Of course, there's more and PRACTICE is a big part of it because anything that you do frequently tends to get better. (Try Toastmasters! Go to www.toastmasters.org to find a club near you where you can learn specifics and have a place to practice.)
If you to feel more confident, if you want to be more effective, if you want more influence...learn how to speak and sell ASAP.
It will change your life! (And keep you moving forward!)
