As a syndicated columnist, author and international speaker, Julie Garton-Good has been called "America's Home Affordability Expert", addressing more than 25,000 persons annually on the topics of real estate finance and
home affordability. In 1994, she received the prestigious international "Real Estate Educator of the Year" award from the Real Estate Education Association. Julie also has received the award in 1985, making her the sole two-time recipient. She is a past President of the Real Estate Educators Association and was one of its first recipients of the (DREI) Distinguished Real Estate Instructor designation.
Her books include "Supercourse for Real Estate", published by Simon and Schuster, "A Professional's Guide to Real Estate Finance", "All About Mortgages: Insider Tips to Finance or Refinance Your Home", and "The Home Buying Game", published by Dearborn Financial. Her fifth book, "The Frugal HomeOwner's Guide to Buying, Selling, and Improving Your Home" was released in February. The sixth book, published by Dearborn Financial will be
available in the spring of 2001, "Real Estate Ala Carte". Julie's syndicated real estate column appears weekly in such papers as the Miami Herald, reaching more than two million people weekly.
Julie is the founder of the National Association of Real Estate Consultants (NAREC) and the author of the C-CREC (Consumer Certified Real Estate Consultant) professional designation course for Real Estate Professionals.
In 2000, The National Association of REALTORS« nominated Julie as one of the twenty-five most influential people in the real estate industry.
