Barbara is an active member of the National Speakers Association and served as president of the National Capital Speakers Association. She served as president and is currently active in the National Association of Professional Organizers, which presented her with the Founder's Award, the highest honor offered by the organization.
Born and raised on a farm in Nebraska, Barbara has lived all over the world - including New Delhi, India where she adopted three children ages two, three, and four. In addition, she has two stepchildren. They are all now grown and successfully employed! She has organized and directed several choral groups, including an international chorus that performed at the American Ambassador's Residence in New Delhi. She currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband. Her office is located in her home, which is situated on 70 acres of woodlands overlooking a 30-acre lake. It includes a theater that frequently serves as a training room for clients who want to see whether Barbara practices what she preaches!
